Our beautiful region is unveiled from our hotel ideally located on the banks of the Loire ...
Opening on to the ocean and crossed by the last wild river of Europe, the Pays de la Loire region
has an exceptional cultural and natural heritage. On the banks of the famous royal river, there are many character villages such Rochefort-sur-Loire and majestic castles of very different styles such as the 13th century castle of the Dukes of Anjou; the castle of Brissac, highest castle of France or that of 15th century Plessis-Bourré.
On foot or by bike, the many hiking trails will allow you to discover our beautiful region with its famous vineyards.
30 minutes from our hotel, a visit to the royal city of Angers is a must with its episcopal palace whose construction began in the 12th century and its house Adam with its half-timbering dating from medieval times, its Jean Lurçat museum and its tapestries. To the south east of the city, the 12th century Abbey of Fontevraud the largest monastic city dating from the Middle Ages is worth the detour.
Near our establishment, Ingrandes and its ephemeral basin dug on the banks of the Loire, each summer. On the beach equipped and supervised in July and August you will find games for children, umbrellas and other activities to share with the family.
Around the hotel of Lion d'Or in Ingrandes, ideas of leisure and sites to visit are not lacking:
- The Trades Museum in Mauges-sur-Loire and the Cap Loire discovery park in Montjean-sur-Loire (with possibility of a cruise on the Loire).
